Asus Vivobook 15 becomes first laptop in India with Intel’s new Core 5 chip

Asus has launched the Vivobook 15 in India, the country's first laptop to run on Intel's new Core 5 Series 3 processor.

Asus has launched the Vivobook 15 in India, marking the first laptop in the country to run on Intel’s new Core 5 Series 3 processor. The company is positioning it as an AI-ready laptop for everyday productivity, aimed at students and professionals seeking smoother multitasking without flagship pricing.

The Core 5 processor includes an integrated Intel AI Boost NPU rated at 16 TOPS, which Asus says lays the groundwork for AI-powered Windows experiences rather than serving as a raw performance play. It is paired with 16GB of DDR5 memory, a 512GB PCIe 4.0 SSD, and Wi-Fi 6, a combination Asus says is built for multitasking across browser tabs, video calls and office work.

The Vivobook 15 features a 15.6-inch Full HD anti-glare display with 45% NTSC colour coverage, and at 1.7kg with a 17.9mm profile, Asus is pitching it as suited for daily commutes. It includes a backlit keyboard with a dedicated Copilot key, fingerprint login on the touchpad, and a physical webcam shield.

The laptop is available exclusively on Amazon and Flipkart in three colourways — Cool Silver, Quiet Blue and Terra Cotta — starting at Rs 1,07,990, and ships with Windows 11 Home pre-installed alongside a one-year Asus global warranty with onsite domestic support.
