Emirates has told the Telangana government it is willing to launch Airbus A380 services in Hyderabad. Mohammed Sarhan, vice president (India) of Emirates, conveyed the airline’s plan during a courtesy call on chief minister A Revanth Reddy on Saturday, on the occasion of the completion of 25 years of Emirates’ operations in the city.

Welcoming the move, chief minister Revanth Reddy requested Emirates to increase its overall flight services to Hyderabad.

With two new airports coming up in the state at Warangal and Adilabad, the chief minister also urged Sarhan to extend Emirates’ Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) operations to those locations. He assured the airline that the state government is ready to provide all necessary facilities for its flight operations.

The A380 is Emirates’ flagship long-haul aircraft, and its addition to the Hyderabad route would mark a significant expansion of the airline’s presence in the city.
