Synchrony’s biggest global experience hub isn’t in the US: it just opened in Hyderabad

US-based financial services company Synchrony has opened its largest global experience centre and innovation station yet, and it isn’t in America. The nearly 6,000-square-foot facility at Synchrony’s Hyderabad campus is the company’s third experience centre worldwide, following two in the United States, marking a fresh vote of confidence in India’s role in its technology and enterprise strategy.

The Hyderabad facility is built as an immersive hub where employees, customers and partners can walk through the company’s products and technologies in person. Interactive customer journeys, virtual reality demonstrations and real-world use cases span Synchrony’s health and wellness, home and auto, lifestyle, digital and diversified value platforms, letting visitors experience how the business actually works rather than just hear about it.

Attached to the experience centre is an innovation station, a separate space where employees can experiment with emerging technologies, build prototypes, test new ideas and take part in innovation challenges and hackathons. Synchrony said the two spaces together are designed to encourage collaboration, continuous learning and work that crosses team boundaries.

Florin Arghirescu, executive vice president and chief technology officer at Synchrony, said the investment reflects the company’s confidence in India’s talent and its contributions to technology, AI and enterprise platforms.

Rachana Bahadur, senior vice president and country head for India, said the centre was designed to serve more than 6,000 colleagues and would help teams connect their everyday work with the impact it has on customers.
