GIGABYTE has launched its first gaming laptop built entirely in India, the GIGABYTE GAMING A16, marking a new manufacturing milestone for the Taiwanese hardware maker in the country. The laptop is powered by an AMD Ryzen processor and is positioned to deliver both gaming performance and AI-ready computing by drawing on AMD’s technologies.

The local production run was made possible through a new partnership between GIGABYTE and Dixon Technologies, one of India’s largest contract electronics manufacturers. GIGABYTE says the tie-up combines its own global engineering and quality standards with Dixon’s manufacturing capabilities, allowing the GAMING A16 to be built domestically without diluting the specifications GIGABYTE applies to its products worldwide.

To oversee the launch, Sinclair Hsiao, GIGABYTE’s vice president of global sales, travelled to India along with senior leaders from the company’s headquarters spanning Product Management, Procurement, Materials Planning and Quality Assurance. ‘The launch of our first Made in India gaming laptop lineup, powered by AMD Ryzen processors, is more than a manufacturing milestone, it represents GIGABYTE’s long-term commitment to the Indian market,’ Hsiao said.

‘India has become one of the most exciting technology and gaming markets in the world, and we believe Indian consumers deserve products built to the same uncompromising global standards that gamers everywhere expect from GIGABYTE,’ Hsiao added. ‘This is only the beginning. We will continue investing in India, strengthening our local manufacturing capabilities, and bringing more world-class gaming technologies closer to Indian consumers.’

GIGABYTE’s leadership team worked closely with Dixon Technologies at every stage of the project to ensure the India-built lineup met the company’s global benchmarks for performance, reliability and quality. The company describes India as one of the world’s most dynamic PC and gaming markets, fuelled by a fast-growing base of gamers, creators, students and technology enthusiasts.

GIGABYTE said the move deepens its investment in India by expanding local manufacturing capacity while keeping every product aligned with its global brand standards. The company added that pairing local production with global expertise strengthens its supply chain resilience and improves how quickly it can respond to the Indian market.
